 Additional information
The Lois and Richard England Family Foundation provides support for human services, education, arts and cultural programs in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, and for targeted programs to enhance Jewish life and causes locally, nationally and internationally. Grants range from US$500-US$15,000, with the majority of grants between US$2500 and US$7500. The Foundation makes grants for general operating support, so organizations need not create special projects. As a member of the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers, the Foundation accepts, but does not require, the Common Grant Application format. Please note: For 2003, the Board will NOT accept unsolicited applications and may request letters of inquiry from selected organizations. It plans to award approximately forty per cent of its annual grants to out of school time programs working with elementary and middle school students in the District of Columbia at its spring meeting, and will award all Jewish grants, totaling about twenty-five percent of grants, at its fall round.
